Reporting to: Accounting Manager
Accounting Associate
In this role, you will play a vital part in our finance department by ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and the integrity of our accounting data. Join our team to manage essential month-end processes and provide detailed analysis necessary to support our company’s fiscal health and compliance.
Position:
As an Accounting Associate, you will:

Prepare, post, and review General Ledger entries, including provisions, accruals, and deferred expenses, ensuring all supporting documentation meets applicable standards.

Lead month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely deliverables, performing detailed Balance Sheet and P&L analysis.

Maintain accurate reconciliations with clear explanations for any variances; manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

Oversee core Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to ensure smooth financial operations.

Work effectively with stakeholders across the organization to meet tight deadlines and maintain financial accuracy.
Requirements:

Higher education in Accounting or a similar field.
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, including experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

Experience with Bulgarian tax legislation is desirable, including: Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Value Added Tax (VAT).

Solid understanding of Local GAAP and IFRS.

Experience with accounting ERP systems is a plus, such as: Navision / MS Dynamics, SAP.

Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).

Working level of Bulgarian and English (written and spoken).

Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.

Able to manage tight deadlines and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
