Strickland is much deserving of this spot and could cause some waves with a win. The majority of this match up will take place on the feet. I expect both to go for the finish early for a statement win.

This fight could bring some surprises. Both fighters are hit-table and bring finishing power. When looking at paths to victory, you have to give Strickland the edge with wrestling, though both have decent take down defense. I don’t see them looking to grapple much. On the feet, it will be about Strickland’s volume and pace versus the power via elusive strikes from Hall. Neither guy has much head movement, so somebody will land a fight-changing shot. Hall will have a 3.5-inch reach advantage in his favor, though historically gets hit more than he lands. I give Strickland the slight edge in this one if I have to pick sides, based on the sheer inconsistency from Hall over the years. It’s tough to go all-in on a fighter who has gone 4-4 in his last eight fights, not including the Weidman accident. In those fights, he’s been finished in three of four of the losses and has won via finish in three of the four wins along the stretch. He’s a kill or be killed type of fighter. Now Strickland has had more success over the same timeframe (since 2015) and has gone 8-2 over his last ten, with four of those fights ending inside the distance. I do like the chances of this one ending under 3.5 rounds, and as I said, I lean Strickland, but Hall always has that puncher’s chance.

Hall vs. Strickland preview :

Strickland (22-3), 30, is an under-the-radar prospect who will be making his first main-event appearance. Injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident caused him to miss two years from the sport, but he returned with two impressive victories. His second-round knockout of celebrated prospect Brendan Allen in November of last year earned him a spot in the UFC rankings.

His first top-10 opponent comes in the form of the resilient Hall, the “Ultimate Fighter” alum who has faced a gauntlet of world-class opponents during his eight years with the promotion. Hall’s failures against world-class opposition such as Whittaker and former title-contender Paulo Costa seemed likely to send him to the gatekeeper role for the rest of his career.

But the 36-year-old has rebounded with four consecutive victories, the last of which might have been his most memorable. In an April rematch with Weidman, the former champ broke his leg 17 seconds into the first round when Hall checked his leg kick. Hall was awarded a TKO victory.

Bellator 263 Patricio Pitbull Vs. Aj Mckee Figh Card, Picks,Odd, Live Stream.

Pitbull enters the bout as arguably the greatest fighter in promotional history. He’s won the featherweight crown twice while making an astonishing seven defenses of the strap. He also earned the lightweight crown in 2019 with a first-round TKO of Michael Chandler. A win over McKee on Saturday would only further cement his legacy within the promotion and his standing as one of the best fighters on the planet.

Early on the card, the cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Usman, is back when he takes on Luis Muro at 155 pounds. Usman Nurmagomedov made an impressive debut in April with a decision win over Mike Hamel. Plus, former lightweight champion Brent Primus is back when he takes on newcomer Islam Mamedov. Primus has just one loss in his career when he dropped the rematch to Michael Chandler for his 155-pound crown in 2018. He’s fought just twice since then, scoring a pair of victories.

Now Predictions Time :
Brian Campbell: Every decade or so, across all sports, a phenom arrives to change the rules. Does 26-year-old AJ McKee fit that description for MMA? It’s a question we just might find out at Bellator 263. McKee (17-0) has quite literally been calling for a fight against Pitbull since he turned pro under the Bellator banner in 2015. He has gone on to set promotional records for consecutive wins and featherweight marks for most submissions and finishes. The lengthy and dynamic southpaw has also backed up his big talk with three finishes in the Featherweight World Grand Prix, including an eight-second knockout of Georgi Karakhanyan and a 71-second submission of Darrion Caldwell.

Brandon Wise: It’s awfully tempting to take the challenger in this spot as a slight underdog if you can find the value. McKee is incredibly dynamic and has multiple ways to beat any opponent. But Pitbull did not get to this position in his career without having to learn some hard lessons along the way. While McKee surely will be a champion someday, grinding out a tough loss like this is something that pushes you to become even better. McKee will try to push the pace early and often, but the precision counter-striking of Pitbull will prove to be just too much to overcome over the course of a few rounds.

Even though McKee has only been fighting professionally for six years, a victory over Freire on a stage this big would transfer to him all of the accolades mentioned above, including that mythical label of “face of the franchise,” which has a profoundly deep meaning for Bellator and CEO Scott Coker.

While both fighters have been impressive in dispatching three opponents en route to the Grand Prix final, no one has been more dominant than McKee. Along with a third-round submission of Derek Campos, McKee scored a pair of lightning quick finishes that included an eight-second knockout of Georgi Karakhanyan and a 71-second submission of Darrion Caldwell.
