Job Purpose:
The role involves Stakeholder partnering and relationship building to comprehend complete requirements of categories/sub-categories such as Commercial Print, POP/POS, Consumer Promotion & Events etc. External market benchmarking and vendor assessment and development is key for this role. Leveraging technology, analytical tools is a must have. An attitude to deliver qualitative, savings enriched and a business oriented outcome to projects undertaken is the expectation. This position strives to add value-savings & business led value-adds to Sourcing of Indirect Goods & Services for the involved categories
Job Context & Challenges
- Developing good, quality-oriented & forward looking vendor base through continuous market, peer, stakeholder engagement and assessment
- Working on requirements by leveraging a robust varied vendor base, sourcing tools, data dashboards. Constant knowledge upgrade through attending external and internal workshops and forums. Proficiency is expected in managing Reverse Auction/eRFQ/eRFI to obtain desired business and savings outcome.
- Play a support role in contributing to APAC Division’s initiatives rollouts, collective projects, etc.
- Identify & resolve problems for product/service delivery. Interface with other departments to drive efficiency.
- Early involvement to bring in more efficiency and cost savings.
- Overall, the challenge is to manage stakeholders’ requirements to be achieved through best sourcing strategy & obtain required goods/services at optimal costs to derive value-savings & value-adds.
Key Accountabilities
Vendor Management
- Maintain a robust vendor base enabling constant benchmarking and backups
- Supplier segmentation to enhance strategic planning and CRM
- Knowledge updates through stakeholders, peers, external forums and webinars, etc
- Developing and managing score card and feedback sharing at time points.
Usage of IP tools
- Leverage
- 7-step Sourcing
- e-tools like Reverse Auction/eRFQ/eRFI
- analytics and dashboards to assess past footprint and to make forward decisions
End to end product / service delivery
- Manage timeline and GTM across cross functions and vendors diligently
- Real time troubleshooting and backup bridging if need be
- Tracking business needs and bridging the same with all parties involved
Funding The Growth
- Early involvement with stake-holders to bring in:
- Effectiveness & efficiency
- value savings
- value-adds to achieve savings
- Cost-Avoidance per determined goals for each year
- Overall – to manage stakeholders’ requirements to achieve through best sourcing strategy
Experience:
Essential: 3-4 years Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics/ Procurement with understanding of product Supply. Good team player and keen learner.
Desirable: Experience in Sourcing & Negotiations for various categories/sub-categories related to Marketing and Sales spends, Indirect Materials i.e. specifically for Commercial Print, POP/POS, Consumer Promotions, Brand Activations & Events, with basic understanding of Print/fabricated substrates.
