Job Title: Logistic Co-ordinator
Job Summary: As a logistic coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement of goods or services through various stages of the supply chain. You will work closely with suppliers, transportation companies, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining efficiency and minimizing costs.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of goods.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate the shipment process.
• Track shipments and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, such as delays or damages.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to meet demand.
• Prepare and analyze reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards governing transportation and logistics.
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and warehouse, to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with international logistics and customs procedures.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (depending on the scope of international operations).
