As Senior Manager, Network Development you will develop and implement Etihad’s network strategy, and build economically optimised long term and short term network plans for the passenger businesses. You will monitor and manage route and system profitability to contribute to the delivery of Etihad’s overall financial targets. You will proactively identify and propose value adding network initiatives that can either help to meet or exceed these financial targets.
Accountabilities
- Lead a team of 2-3 managers responsible for Etihad’s network development
- Manage the network development function to develop and implement the network and long-term fleet strategy for the passenger business
- Support the schedule development function to manage long and short-term schedule development and slot optimisation processes for the passenger businesses
- Coordinate with Revenue Management, Alliances & Partnerships, Sales, Government Affairs, Finance and Corporate Communications to develop and implement value adding network changes
- Develop a monthly route profitability forecast to support timely decision-making including short-term (tactical) and long-term (structural) frequency and fleet adjustments
- Define long term (5-10 years) and short term (annual budget, IATA season) network and fleet strategy and plans, feasible schedule plans that have been operationalised and endorsed by the relevant business areas
- Support Alliances & Partnerships and Fleet Planning with modelling of alliance/codeshare scenarios and fleet configuration assessments
Education & Experience
- Minimum 8 years’ commercial airline experience with a minimum of 5 years Network Planning experience dedicated to Network Development and Optimisation
- Bachelor’s degree/post-graduate studies (preferred) in a relevant discipline (i.e. Business/ Engineering)
- Leadership experience, guiding and developing talented airline analytical teams to deliver sound business decisions is essential
