Tax & Statutory Reporting Manager
We are looking for an experienced Tax & Statutory Reporting Manager as a trusted consultant and business partner, providing guidance and recommendations on the appropriate fiscal treatment of transactions and business activities. The incumbent will be responsible for tax and statutory reports, ensuring their accuracy and regulatory compliance, while providing oversight and advisory support for payroll accounting and treasury operations. This role is key to ensuring regulatory compliance, financial accuracy, and effective financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance & Excise Management: Ensure accurate calculation, recording, declaration, and payment of local taxes and duties in line with fiscal regulations. Supervise excise stamps management, tracking, stock control, and coordination with tax authorities.
- Group & Statutory Reporting: Coordinate the preparation, review, and timely submission of fiscal and statutory reports required by Group Finance and external authorities.
- Payroll & Employee Settlements: Oversee payroll‑related accounting from a governance and reporting perspective, providing guidance and validation to ensure accurate and timely reporting to tax, social insurance, and statistical institutions.
- Treasury & Credit Control: Accountable for ensuring that all tax and customs payments are made on time and in line with statutory requirements, through effective coordination and review, while supporting credit line management.
- Financial Planning: Support financial planning processes through opex budgets, Balance Sheet, Free Cash Flow, and working capital analysis.
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Romanian and English
- Strong understanding of local accounting standards and differences with IFRS
- Experience in fiscal reporting and tax treatment of business transactions
- Solid business acumen and awareness of current economic trends
- High attention to detail with strong quality control and risk management skills
- Ability to effectively liaise and communicate with tax authorities
